Seniors

This year has flown like leaves before the breeze,
The days escaped much faster than I knew.
The moments passed with such remarkable ease,
And suddenly the end comes into view.

The laughter shared within the crowded halls,
The talks with friends before the morning bell,
Now echo faintly through these fading walls,
Like fleeting stories people used to tell.

Each season vanished quicker than the last,
As autumn turned to winter, then to spring.
I wish that I had known time moved so fast,
And treasured more the joy each day could bring.

Though time may steal the moments from our sight,
The memories of this year will still burn bright.
